Ronald C. Burton, MD, FACOG
Biography

Dr. Ryan S. Stratford

Dr. Burton has been a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist for over 20 years in the East Valley.

Dr. Burton was born in Jerome, Arizona and grew up in Payson, Utah.  He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Zoology and Genetics where he was a member of the Phi Sigma Honor Biological Society.  He left the West to study medicine at The George Washington University Medical School in Washington, D.C. where he was awarded the prestigious honor of being a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

After completing medical school, Dr. Burton completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Oakland, California.  Dr. Burton and his family moved to Mesa, Arizona after residency and service in the Navy where he started a practice in obstetrics and gyneocology.

Dr. Burton worked for many years in the East Valley as an obstetrician and gynecologist.  In time, his love of gynecologic surgery became more and more apparent and he began focusing exclusively on gynecology.  Later, through multiple training seminars with the pioneers in the field of Urogynecology, Dr. Burton honed his skills in urogynecologic surgery and began treating patients from all over the East Valley for female urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.

Eventually, Dr. Burton gave up his general gynecology practice to focus exclusively on urogynecology and joined The Woman’s Center for Advanced Pelvic Surgery.  He has taught many residents in urogynecology and continues to love his role as a teacher and educator in the field of urogynecology.

He lives in Mesa with his wife, Jaque, and they are the proud parents of four children.
